2.3 Customer Data (Your Product Data)

To provide our Service, you may connect third-party sources (e.g., Linear, Jira, App Store Connect, Zendesk) to FountainData. This data ("Customer Data") is processed strictly in accordance with your instructions and this Policy.

• We collect feedback content, ticket metadata, and user sentiment data.
• We do not collect sensitive personally identifiable information (PII) of your end-users intentionally. We provide tools to redact PII from your datasets automatically.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• Service Delivery: To provide, operate, maintain, and improve the FountainData platform.
• AI Analysis: To generate insights, summaries, and root cause analyses from your Customer Data.
• Billing: To process transactions and send related information, including invoices and receipts.

• Compliance: To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. AI & Data Processing

FountainData leverages Large Language Models (LLMs) to analyze text. Our stance on data usage for AI is strict:

• Zero Training on Private Data: We do not use your Customer Data to train our foundation models that are shared with other customers.
• Isolation: Analysis performed on your data is isolated to your workspace.
• Opt-In Benchmarking: If you explicitly opt-in to our "Industry Benchmarks" program, we may use anonymized, aggregated statistics (e.g., "Average SaaS Churn Rate") to provide comparative insights. You can opt-out at any time.

5. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:

• Service Providers: Third-party vendors who assist us in operating the Service (e.g., AWS for hosting, Stripe for payments, OpenAI/Anthropic for API processing). These providers are bound by confidentiality agreements.
